The Food Bank of Nevada County, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, established in 1986 to alleviate hunger and food insecurity in Nevada County.
We distribute food to those in need throughout Nevada County. We are able to provide food directly to thousands of families and individuals with our drive through food distributions and indirectly by providing food support to food pantries, warming shelters and other non profit organizations whose primary focus is feeding those in need. Over the last 37 years of serving Nevada County, we have built the facilities that allow us to collect, store and distribute food for the growing needs of our community.
We nourish Nevada County by providing healthy food, building community partnerships, and working to end hunger at its roots.
A food-secure Nevada County where every individual has reliable access to nutritious food and the opportunity to thrive.
We exist to help those in need of food. Prohibited from discrimination, we distribute the acquired commodities to help eliminate hunger.
We appreciate all of our wonderful volunteers who are dedicated and have a heart for others. Yes! You can help too!
