Some CalFresh (SNAP) benefits have been suspended for November, leaving many in our community without this critical support.
The Food Bank of Nevada County is working with local partners to help fill the gap and ensure food remains available for everyone who needs it.

If you are picking up food at our distributions for another family or person, please download the required alternate pick-up form above and fill out PRIOR to each food pick-up. New forms will be available at each distribution. Limit 3 households total per vehicle.

CalFresh is a government funded program that provides monthly food benefits for individuals and families with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules. It is used to supplement ones budget allowing individuals and families to purchase foods, including fruits and veggies.

The program issues monthly benefits on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card. Food may be purchased at any grocery store or farmers market that accepts EBT cards.

Women, Infants, and Children, or WIC serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.
