Yes. All volunteers must have a current Volunteer Application on file before participating in a volunteer shift or event.

Not quite ready to volunteer? We'd still love to meet you! Join us for Food for Thought, our introductory gathering where you can enjoy a light bite, learn about the Food Bank's mission, ask questions, and discover ways to get involved with no commitment required.

 The minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old.

• Volunteers ages 10–15 must be accompanied by an adult. 
• Volunteers ages 16–17 may volunteer independently with parent or guardian permission. 

Looking for opportunities for someone younger than 10 or have questions about volunteering as a family or group? We'd love to help. Please reach out to us to explore available options.

You'll have the opportunity to share your interests and any special requests when completing your volunteer application.

We do our best to match volunteers with opportunities that align with their interests while also meeting the Food Bank's current needs. Our goal is to make every volunteer experience meaningful, enjoyable, and rewarding.

Volunteer hours are tracked through our volunteer sign-in system. All volunteers are required to sign in and out for every shift, whether volunteering at our warehouse or at an off-site event. 

 We understand that plans change. If you're unable to attend your scheduled volunteer shift, please let us know as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.

 No. Volunteers sign up for individual opportunities based on their availability.

While we'd love to see you often, there's no ongoing commitment. You can volunteer as your schedule allows, and each shift you fill helps us better serve our community.

Aside from completing a Volunteer Application, all we ask is that you arrive ready to help with a positive attitude! 

 For everyone's safety and comfort, we ask volunteers to wear:

• Closed-toe shoes (required for all volunteer activities) 
• Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather 
• Layers when volunteering in the warehouse, as temperatures can vary

Parking at our warehouse is limited. If you're volunteering with friends, family, or a group, we encourage carpooling whenever possible. This helps ensure parking is available for everyone.
