We, at The Food Bank of Nevada County, are extremely thankful and appreciative to Cherokee Tires for donating new tires for our trucks as well as their time to drive up from Sacramento to install them. Thank you for helping us help our community!
As an organization, we thrive from the support of our community, so a huge thank you to Wild Eye Pub for hosting a benefit concert for The Food Bank of Nevada County. A special thank you to Three Times Through, Buffalo Gals, and Harmony Happens for sharing their talents with us.
We would like to give a huge shout-out to The Safeway Foundation's Nourishing Neighbors program for gifting our Summer Lunch Program a grant that will allow us to serve the children of Nevada County healthy lunches all summer.
With Safeway's help, we aim to help kids all across our community. Thank you so much Safeway! #NourishingNeighbors
BriarPatch has been assisting us year-round, constantly donating fresh produce for us to distribute! As well as bringing us hardworking and enthusiastic volunteers, BriarPatch offers discounts for those who do help us out. They also offer their customers the option to round up their total to the nearest dollar amount to donate to us. We appreciate you so much BriarPatch!
We'd like to give a huge shout-out to Big A's Root Beer Drive In for their continuous dedication to helping our organization in any way they can.
They hosted our drive-thru volunteer appreciation event, sponsored multiple events through other organizations that support us, hosted a food drive, have had month long events in which they matched donations to us, and more.
Thank you Big A's, you have helped us so much!

In September of 2020, Pacific Gas and Electric Company graciously gifted us with multiple grants to support us, and Nevada County as a whole, during the power outages. We are so appreciative!
Thank you to the Nevada County Relief Fund for providing us with a much needed monetary grant in response to COVID-19. As our numbers skyrocketed, and continue to increase, due to the pandemic, The Nevada County Relief Fund helped us to stay on our feet, able to assist all those who reached out to us.
Being our largest food donor, UNFI makes our weekly distributions happen. Without UNFI, we wouldn't be able to feed all that we do. We are so incredibly thankful for all of their help. Thank you UNFI!
Along with holding a donation drive in our honor, Sierra Timberline also made a charitable donation of a generator for our warehouse. During the power outages last year, we really struggled in keeping our food fresh. Now we can ensure that our food remains safe year round.
When moving to a larger location, Holiday Market in Auburn made the compassionate decision to donate ALL of their leftover stock from their old location. With this we were able to supply our community with an assortment of items we would have otherwise had no access to. Their generosity has greatly impacted both our organization and many inhabitants of Nevada County.
The Rotary Club of Grass Valley very considerately gifted us with a new power jack for our warehouse. This significantly aids with our process and we are filled with gratitude. Thank you so much!
SaveMart supports the Food Bank year-round, helping thousands of people in our community. Each year they host a holiday Turkey Drive in November, providing their customers the opportunity to round up their totals in support of the Food Bank, and host an annual Peanut Butter Drive in May. In addition, in March 2020 they gifted us with emergency pallets of food to feed Nevada County at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. A million thanks to SaveMart!
We are so thankful to the Nevada County Farm Bureau for so graciously donating three fully cut and smoked whole pigs. These pigs will help provide protein to many families in Nevada County in need. Your kindness will not be forgotten!
We would like to give a huge shout out to Mountain Bounty Farm in Nevada City for supplying us with produce for our monthly distribution in North San Juan. Thank you so much, we couldn't do it without you guys!
Our local Safeway was selfless enough to donate a sizeable amount of money for us to be able to purchase more food for our patrons. Thank you Safeway!
