CalFresh & Food Resources

Recent federal legislation, known as HR1, has resulted in changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known in California as CalFresh.

As a result of these changes, approximately 2,500 Nevada County residents have lost CalFresh benefits. Some households may also experience changes to eligibility requirements or benefit levels.

If you have lost benefits, received a notice of change, or have questions about your eligibility, we encourage you to contact your CalFresh case worker. If you need food assistance now, please visit our Get Food Here page.
