Bring your community together to help nourish local families.
An in-person food drive is a meaningful way to engage your workplace, school, faith community, neighborhood, or organization while helping stock our shelves with much-needed food. Every donation helps provide nutritious meals to individuals, families, and seniors throughout Nevada County.
Great for:

A virtual food drive allows you to raise funds online to help provide food where it's needed most. Because we can purchase food in bulk and access discounted pricing, every dollar goes even further to support our neighbors facing food insecurity.
Great for:

Recent federal legislation, known as HR1, has resulted in changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known in California as CalFresh.
As a result of these changes, approximately 2,500 Nevada County residents have lost CalFresh benefits. Some households may also experience changes to eligibility requirements or benefit levels.
If you have lost benefits, received a notice of change, or have questions about your eligibility, we encourage you to contact your CalFresh case worker. If you need food assistance now, please visit our Get Food Here page.
